Yorkshire Knee Clinic specialises in knee pain diagnosis and treatment in Pontefract and across Yorkshire. Between them, our three knee surgeons have decades of orthopaedic expertise, and operate from hospitals in Leeds and Harrogate.

James (Jim) Newman graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 1999. By 2005, he was already beginning to work primarily in orthopaedics, the field that would become his specialism for the next decade and beyond.

In particular, he discovered a passion for treating knee pain associated with sports injuries, especially in the young. As a knee specialist for Pontefract, this has remained a key focus of James’ work.

Today, James is one of the leading knee surgeons in Pontefract and the wider Yorkshire area. Now the lead surgeon for elective orthopaedic surgery at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, Jim divides his time between his NHS work, and his private clients as part of Yorkshire Knee Clinic.
